Sandersville Main Street

 

 

                     About the Program:

The City of Sandersville Main Street is a Classic Georgia Main Street Program. It is also a Nationally Accredited Start Up program by the National Main Street Center, a subsidiary of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  The Main Street Program focuses on building stronger communities through its four point approach: Organization, Promotion, Design and Economic Vitality.  

 

The Main Street Board of Directors meet on the Third Wednesday of each month at 8:30am at City Hall located at 141 W Haynes Street. 

Meetings are open to the public.

It includes a thriving retail and restaurant district, ample parking and easy access to walking trails, and entertainment –a place where people of all ages come to shop, dine, work, and live. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy educational, arts, and cultural experiences and participate in a variety of community events. This vision includes thoughtful and generous involvement by community and business leaders and the support of a downtown organization with adequate, consistent funding and purposeful direction?.

FREE COVID TESTING INFORMATION

Free COVID-19 testing is offered twice weekly in Sandersville -- Monday and Thursday from 8 a.m. until noon. For screening for testing through the North Central Health District, you must contact the COVID-19 testing number 844-987-0099 to get a referral for testing. The health district also offers testing on different days in each county in the district (see schedule here).
